Even a foot above the normal low levels for this time of year can make upstream progress dificult on the Passaic in some stretches. This is really a large watershed so just because it didn't rain much where you live doesn't mean much at times. They also dump water from the various reservoirs at unpredictable times as well.

I usually use Pine Brook as a standard. Anything over 13 ft I start to think twice. If you change the toolbar at the top to water quality it will give you temperatures including Raitan Bay at Keansburg.
