I'm done, unless somebody complains that these aren't even flies. http://kfs.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif These are based on the Louisiana Spoon Fly. These should wobble pretty good for you. They say on the FFLA site where I found it that it was originated by Jon Cave of FL. I don't know if they'll work in the NE but they're different.

I'm still up in the air here....what to tye? What to tye? I was at the Jack Gartside booth in Somerset and I like the Gurgler, never used one but alot of guys say it's a must have. Then I saw a pic of Bob Popovics Hollow Flye squid and that looked killer. Gotta jump on this sooner or later..what to tye????????????

Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Great minds think alike. http://kfs.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I had albies on peanuts in mind for these spoons but I'll be happy if they work at all. I was also looking hard at squid patterns but I've been dreaming about them as Fatheads.

I know what I will be tying for this swap. The only problem is I can't find some nice big chunks of closed cell. http://kfs.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif But when I find it I will start tying the flies.

salty, I say go for the hollow fly! I've never tyed or fished one so that would be untested for me http://kfs.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I saw it on SOL and like the idea just tyed it my way. Squid are these little fat bodied things that look tapered on both ends sort of banana shaped as noted by Ken Abrames in Striper Moon. If too flashy just pull it out....

Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Tasty for sure. I was just looking at some video clips of squid in their element that Adrian linked in a post on flyfishingforum. Was interesting.

Flies are in the mail except for Bill Beckers. I need your zip code. Didn't realize it was missing until I got to the counter but PO wouldn't take it without. I may have it at home on another envelope but if you reply I can put them in mail today.

I thought they were all great. I want to know how Stan made the lips on his. I think Bill's will be killer tinker macks. I have spots to try all these. The fathead pattern has been a lot of fun

All of the flies that I received are were really great. They are "almost" too nice to fish with.

Thanks to all of the participants, especially Jim for running the swap.

It sure was a lot of fun.

Jim the lips are cut out from clear 2 liter soda bottles from the top where it curves out. Also thank you Jim for holding this swap.
