RAM mounting on Tarpon Console

I am wondering what others have done to mount a ram base in the center console spots that are designed for the scotty base. I have a 140 but I think it is the same on the 120s. It seems like you need to put some material in to fill up the depression so that the ram base will fit flush. Any tips will be appreciated.

Actually you don't but it works a bit better. You can use small SS washers to built up underneath, or make a shim. I prefer the washers. If you go back a ways you'll see pics where I've done this on a khaki 120.
