I am looking for paddle clips. I want clips that I can use with one hand. I want to be able to stow my paddle quickly when I hook a fish while trolling. I may also use the clips to hold rods occasionally. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

There are 2 ways to go. Either the deluxe clips offered on this site or set up a paddle keeper. Here's a paddle keeper.

Go with the paddle keeper. It's easy to use one handed and they are really subtle, unlike sticking out clips. It's also no problem to have them both sides, as it's only a short length of bungee chord.

I was lucky to see Jon's idea of a clip this winter and looks like a good idea. I'm going to add that in addition to my paddle clips, I'll report back on the set-up after some use.
Sit back and enjoy the ride!

How does that paddle keeper work? I have the same question but I can't figure it out from the picture.
You put the paddle between the handle and the clip and pull the bungee over it and hook it. Below is a unit already set up that I'm ordering a bunch of Monday.

offers a bungee paddle holder that also works fine for rods.Only 10 bucks.I put 2 on my Pungo and they work great. They come with rivets but i went with SS hardware for installation.

Look at the paddle clip method by MadKayaker on
Sept 3rd....great idea
Also look at the anchor system by EdWood123.
His idea can be also be used for the paddle clip by adding the "J" hook.

We used grey pvc clamps for securing electrical pvc piping on walls and ceilings. In our case we used the 1" clips but you can get them in any size you want.
We installed 2 of them on the right side of our kayaks and the paddle easily snaps in and is held securely.
