I just got my power back on around 7:00 on friday. It worked out because there was nothing for me to do-but go fishing. I got out last night around 5:00 pm and found some big blues on bunker and all I was wanted to get them on the fly rod. It took some time but I figured out I had to strip like a madman and that was the only way they wanted it, kinda hard to do when you have my pathetic casts-but I made it work. One fish looked near 15 pounds. I lost a bunch of flies but was all worth it. Then when all that died down I paddled around and found bass and blues on peanuts and had a blast with them for a while. It seems like the dog days of summer never find my area.

Peanut bunker, right? Little baby bunkers, right?
Power went out here in OCMD today for about 30 min... and I went fishing (transformer blew, took out 10 or 15 blocks) threw a few chunks of bunker, spot and squid out in the surf, not a bite
Oh well, you're luckier than I am
Summer fishing isn't as bad as you think it is...

Joe, I got into the big blues at about 5:00 Saturday morning, hope they stick around. On the way back in I got a fall preview with bass blitzing on peanut bunker until about 9 am. Landed several in the mid twenty inch range on my 7 wt. Get this, I also landed two fluke on the fly.
Mike, I got a fluke on a 5" wildeye Saturday also.

Sat the rainfish had the blues in close and some nice fluke under them. Landed about 5 and three were keepers ....Popovic's Jiggy fly....this in addition to the fluke and bass! Wish the big blues were in, they fight the best.
Sit back and enjoy the ride!
