Have fun, guys! Went to Lake Martin yesterday caught 2 sac-a-lait (more like 1.5, the second was so small). The fish are waking up...

Well, we were on the water for 6:15. The day was one of the worst I've had in a long time. I didn't get a single hit in 3 hours of fishing. I tired multiple lures. My buddy caught a few specs in the main channel while I trolled and occasionally stopped up and down the marsh. Better luck next time.

No man... You're supposed to explain to us how you only used your worst lures cuz you didn't feel like cleaning any fish and you were were really just familiarizing yourself with the new boat and stuff. Ain't that right? *wink, wink*

Anywho... a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work... everytime.

What kind of lures to you guys troll with?

Trolled with Salt Water Assassins, deadly Dudleys (all the popular colors), and Cocahoe Minnows.

Also tried DOA shrimp, market shrimp on a hook, shrimp on a Jig, Shrimp under a popping cork, spoons and a jerk bait.

The specs I caught that day were not that big... I used D.O.A Shrimp (Real shrimp color) It was a very cold day and I got lucky around 10am,.. after 3 hours with no bites...

Enjoyed the company we'll hit'um hard next time.. CK...
