kris, I personally have a Tarpon 160. This is my first kayak. It is fast, has great tracking and plenty of storage for gear on long trips. however it is not designed for fishing. poor deck layout, no tankwell, very heavy and hard to maneuver when doing backcountry mangrove fishing. Some kayaks that are coming out you might consider..Ok's Prowler and the Tarpon 140 which has a much better deck layout and a bit better maneuvering. My buddy Jim will swear by his Scupper Pro. Your best bet is to Demo as many yaks as you can with ample time in each and get what makes you comfortable...
I am sure you will others debate on this one!!!
good luck...Chef Mike http://kfs.infopop.cc/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

C. Mike was right on the money!!! Try'em all and decide what you like. If you can, rent one for a day to better get an idea instead of a hour paddle ride. Also, most places will credit the rental fee toward a yak if you buy...so try the OK Prowler, WS 140, and Perception Bimini...all three are kick a#s yaks....
Take care and ask if you need anything else
