Well my hobie leaks!!, but only from the top hatches. Yes, I have cleaned all sand and debri from the rubber seals and made sure everything was dry and tight.
Question.....can you buy new seals or is there a way to rejuvinate the old ones??
Thanks,
Rhino

The Hobie part # is 71702021 8" twist-n-seal O-ring.
Hobie says to use silicone oil to lube the O-rings. They say DO NOT use ordinary petroleum oil as a lubricant.
You should remove the rings from the seats, lubricate them and re-seat them. Be sure all the screws around each hatch are tight.
Good luck.

You may find that you need to take the entire hatch assembly out of the boat and refit it using some kind of sealant.
I have found that this area, not the rubber sealing ring in the hatch lid, has been the main culprit regarding water getting into my hulls...

Thanks guys, I'll check these areas out and probably order new gaskets.

My Revo leaks too, but only from the top down. It would have to raid an awful lot for the collection system to gather enough while I'm asea for the added weight to adversly the boats stability. I think my leak is around the forward hatch which I don't think can be sealed. THAT rubber gasket is loose and I have yet to find a glue which will fasten it back down for any length of time,

Va you can order that gasket material for the front hatch by the foot. Don't mess with glueing those gaskets just order some new ones. BTW Hobie gets the hatch gasket from the some manufacturer as OK. I only have trouble with the twist and seal on the Revo when the seas are really rough. The AI on the other hand takes alot of H2O over the hatches.
