Are there going to be things for those that do not want to fish such as displays, vendors and clinics? I don't want to enter the tournament, but I would like to see the equipment, learn something, and be an interested spectator. It's only a couple hour drive for me.

Simple answer is yes this event is very much worth visiting for non competitors. Beside the fact that this tourney is an historic event in kayak fishing (because it will help define our acceptance as the "real thing" by the fishing industry. There will be clinics, food and beverages, opprortunities to view many custom rigs, and to meet and greet anglers from far and near. Many of the pioneers of this sport will be on hand including Jon Shein, Joey Cambria, Capt Ken Daubert the author of the origional book on kayak fishing, TKF Stubb, Tailstalker, Peter Hinck, Jay Brewington and the Johnster to name a few. Factory Reps from the leading kayak companies and most of the sports top forum leaders including the legendary Spike are coming in. So if you can be there don't miss this adventure in paddle fishing. You can purchace raffle tickets and a ticket to the awards banquet. The tournament will be broadcast over the net by Verizon Wireless courtesy TKF, stay tuned for more info at www.extremeedgefishing.com (http://www.extremeedgefishing.com)

I have reservations at the Waterfront made for my wife and me. We are staying all weekend. I only mentioned it to her and she was on the phone to Best Western. She is really getting into kayak fishing.
We are both looking forward to a weekend away from home!

You got one, Danlen. You don't know how lucky you are.
As my grandfather taught me, the best time to fish is when you can.
