I was able to get out after kid duty and before the wife got home so I met up with the guys from Anthracite Outfitters and fishyaker who were down my way checking out the river. The river was moving good and it took some effort to go upstream. Eddyrider and fishtank went on a submerged island to the north I took a longer submerged island to the west. I managed four fish 2 bass largest 15 and 2 walleye carbon copies of each other. They would have made excellent fillets, but I left them go. All came working the seam off of the island with a curly tail grub. Pictures below.

We were in the Sunbury area just below the fabridam. Fishtank is busy with a shot this weekend but if I can talk the wife into a hall pass for this weekend I might make it down. I'll shot Jeff an email for directions and times by wednesday if I can get out of here. We might be up here on the North Branch on Friday for the day, but I can easily load up the trailer at the end of the day and just hit the road.

No I don't know Jeff. I read the thread over at kayakbass and have read some of his articles in the past. Our areas don't really cross since I'm so much farther north then he is.

Right now Saturday is a maybe for me because we will be out on the North Branch on Friday. If I can swing it I will know for sure in the next day or so. If the weather holds and the fish are biting on Friday then I will most likely stay up here, but we'll see.

I have to photograph a Christening on Sunday or we'd be there. We're gonna' put some time in Friday on the north branch.

I'm heading out now to get after monster trout with crease flies on the 5wt. I had them banging it last night but none got the hook. I'm hope'n to be able to tempt some smallies to get up after spooks this Friday. Figure I'll present them a "meal they can't refuse.":D

I do have to admit that after the 30" walleye I hit in Sunbury last week, I'm jones'n to get after them too...
