Had everything packed up and ready to go for a beach launch this morning at Sebastian in what NOAA predicted to be 10-15 mph winds. Ya right, try 25 steady gusting to 35. So, no fishing report because there was no fishing that shisnit.
Now, I talked to the wife and I think I have a kitchen pass to go south in the near future for a nice off shore trip in warmer deeper water. I don't know crap about the the gulf stream or where it gets close to shore, but if anyone thinks they could help me find some adventure I'd appreciate it. I'm open to fishing partners or just good advice and launch locations. Have Hobie, will travel, Joe

Come down this way and we can give it a go. I normally head out Port Everglades inlet, Ft.Lauderdale area. About two mile paddle straight out to get to sailfish, dolphin, kingfish grounds. I'd be much more likely to go if I had someone else around. Been waiting for days for an opening.
Count on being wet the whole time...I wear semi dry top and waterproof pants. With wind blowing you'll be cold, even in 70 degree water temps if not properly dressed. Expect your cockpit to be flooded much of the time if winds gets to 15 to 20. Make sure your yak won't leak from topside...flushmounts plugged on bottom and hatches somewhat water tight. What days are you available?

lconn,
wet doesn't bother me, but I will have to pick up some additional gear for the winter wet. If you think we can find dolphin then I have no prob getting wet gear for my b-day (was gonna get a guitar, but I can't play anyway). Days off really depend on the weather, I work the usual office shift but I'm up for a vacation day or two if necessary and the weather looks good. Give me a few days to collect some cheap cold weather gear unless bass pro has it on the shelf.

Joe, I see the surfers and most are'nt wearing wet suits. I just don't like being uncomfy cold. I've got a nice long rope if you need to tow me back in.

Um, ya, I don't have any rope, but I promise to send help when I get back to shore and finish cleaning the fish.
I just checked, and your weather sucks for the next few days. Would like to plan ahead and maybe get another or two involved. At least then we could take turns towing the daritos back to shore.
