Default let us know if it works...

...I had some issues with the seat latch as well.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I have an older Ride 135 and the seat back can flip up or down but is not height adjustable. The newer Ride 135 have a vertically adjustable seat back. That's what people keep complaining about "slipping".

Just got back from a paddle with the new butterfly clip installed; It's good but not great. There is still a a slipping issue, although it didn't seem to slip quite as far. I'm going to call wildy tomorrow and see what the next course of action is.
cheers,
-kayak

Default Any response from WS??

...any indication of whether it is a design issue?

Just called them again today, and they said that as they've already sent me a new butterfly clip the next course of action would be to take the boat to the dealer, have them take a look at it, and then send me a new seatback, whether it is a replacement of the current design, or a redesign I have no idea. Personally, I doubt that will solve the problem given the nature of the current design; but you never know. On a positive note I dealt with the same customer service rep as I did the first time around, and he was very courteous even going so far as to apologize for the issue. I'm continually impressed by the level of customer service exhibited by wilderness systems.
cheers,
-kayak

After talking with the webmaster over on the wilderness social network, he directed me to their email form where I inquired as to getting on the contact list to receive the redesigned clip. The next working day after I sent in my email I received an email from Jarrett Hobbs, one of their customer service reps, stating that they would send me the clip as soon as it's ready. Based on what I've read on the wilderness social network and other places, it should arrive soon.
cheeers,
-kayak
