yea i thought about that. didn't paddle anything else. i know cardinal rule before getting a yak get some seat time but i have never been like that with anything. they are a bit heavy but i plan to do a good amount of fishing in the bay and as far off coast with other groups. but what really sold me was the design. i took it out on weston mills pond the other day and overall very happy with the boat. i was contemplating on getting either the stealth 12 or the x-factor.

I've never paddled before I bought either, but I've always bought with a plan. I knew I wanted an all around boat when I started, and bought my tarpon. Then after a year, I craved speed and the ability to cover distance and picked up a different boat to fit that task. Now I've got a surf boat as well. I would maybe try to sell off the second xfactor for a gain or break even, and decide to buy a second boat based on your findings. I can't really see any positives to having two nearly identical boats, you can't take both out at once
![]() Don't take this as me trying to convince you to sell it, but its just a bit of advice from what I have found out along my yak time. No boat does everything well, there will always be something you don't like or wish you had with your yak Last edited by abraves4410; 08-02-2012 at 02:43 PM. |

yea i agree the only reason i'm getting this second x-factor is cause it is loaded and i'm getting it for a steal. so most likely there will be a post about it for sale in the near future.
