Ditto on the CROC's. They look like what Harvey Fierstein would wear for a paddle.
![]() I wear the L.L. Bean water shoes at around $30 bucks. I caught mine on sale for 19 bucks. They are comfy, and you can wear them to and from the lake, river, etc, without looking like a total dork. They are good most everywhere except for in really bad mud. It closed up the ports siped in the out sole and they didn't drain until I got them underwater in the lake. Overall, I like them for the price, and I like not having to change shoes when I get there. I have a buddy that wears dive boots, and they are good, but we stopped at the evil empire (Wal-Mart) on the way to the river last year to get some <STRIKE>beer and brauts</STRIKE>...uh, hem, ummm...safety related equipment, and EVERYONE in the store was snickering at him, including me. Hey, what are friends for??The last pair I had (I can't remember the brand, just the 80 dollar price) had laces that needed to be tied. MISTAKE!!! They were a super pain. The LL bean ones have a bungee chord and a pull that binds the laces. Much better. Here is a link. http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Categor...arentCategory=503401

But Rick, look at your color choices!!
But, since it's been kinda nippy up your way, I'd suggest these:

Either an old pair of sneakers or the boots that came with an older pair of waders. During the summer its sandals to launch, and bare feet after that.
