just want to find out what water/kayaking shoes folks are wearing. been thinking about the
keen H2's. just want to hear whats on the market. (just FYI, i would not be caught dead in those gayly croc's so dont even suggest them.
i dont care how comfy they are either.)

Ditto on the CROC's. They look like what Harvey Fierstein would wear for a paddle.
I wear the L.L. Bean water shoes at around $30 bucks. I caught mine on sale for 19 bucks. They are comfy, and you can wear them to and from the lake, river, etc, without looking like a total dork. They are good most everywhere except for in really bad mud. It closed up the ports siped in the out sole and they didn't drain until I got them underwater in the lake. Overall, I like them for the price, and I like not having to change shoes when I get there.

I have a buddy that wears dive boots, and they are good, but we stopped at the evil empire (Wal-Mart) on the way to the river last year to get some <STRIKE>beer and brauts</STRIKE>...uh, hem, ummm...safety related equipment, and EVERYONE in the store was snickering at him, including me. Hey, what are friends for??

The last pair I had (I can't remember the brand, just the 80 dollar price) had laces that needed to be tied. MISTAKE!!! They were a super pain. The LL bean ones have a bungee chord and a pull that binds the laces. Much better. Here is a link.

I wear Chaco's. Actually I flip them off as soon as I launch and clip them onto my boat or toss them in the crate. I wear diving booties when I'm going snorkeling off the yak. They work, but are less comfortable.

But Rick, look at your color choices!!

But, since it's been kinda nippy up your way, I'd suggest these:

Either an old pair of sneakers or the boots that came with an older pair of waders. During the summer its sandals to launch, and bare feet after that.
