Here's what we've come up with to hold our Daggerboard while launching/landing or even long downwind sails.

Bob,
Looks good.
Is the top of the dagger board secured or does just the one strap near your feet hold it in place?

Neat

Also when are you going to post pics of that spray shield I see peeking out?

dduffe, Just the one strap holds it in place. It's sewn to fit the daggerboard firmly at that location making two loops. Then we just held in place to mark for the hole. The daggerboard's handle sits at the edge of the cup holder and doesn't move.

AlohaDan, you caught me! I'll post a new thread showing my latest two "designs" based on gwiz's sprayshield. I haven't fully tested the newest because of small craft advisories or no wind this week

We originally tied the daggerboard holder to our paddle leash (hull end) but we now always paddle in (last couple hundred feet) and it didn't stay still enough.

Great solution to a slight annoyance of where to put the daggerboard launching or coming in. I'm going to make one as well as a spray shield like Gwiz and you have. Especially now that the water will start cooling down around here in the next month or so. Thanks for posting the pics
