was out fishing with a friend ( where i got my azz handed to me ) and he recieves a phone call. its his wife telling him the news. a friend of theirs from church and his wife where out grocery shopping. just before they were to check out his wife remembered the corn on the cobb she was needing. well she gets it and bags it. went to the register and told him something poked her while she was getting the corn. it was on her hand. he laughed and told her she was gonna be ok. well they walked to the call. he opened her door and she got in. he put the food in the trunk and got in himself. he turns to her to rag her some more about the "poking" she was already dead.
![]() at this point they dont know if its a spider or a snake. whatever it was she didnt last 10 minutes. this was in a very popular farmers market.

no not even close. your chances of dying from their bite is slim, though you might wish you had for the first few days.

Historically, the most dangerous creature you may encounter at the grocery store (outside of the other shoppers) is the Brazilian Wandering Spider. They very occasionally make it to the US hiding is bunches of bananas shipped from South America. It is very seldom deadly, but it does have a potent bite. Here's a recent article from FOX News:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,509876,00.html While you really don't want to get bitten, it does have a "bonus" for us guys - can you say spider Viagra? Read the article.

If she had an allergy and had an anaphylactic reaction it is well in the realm of possibilities.

An anaphylactic reaction, which can kill in moments, is just a super allergic reaction, and it can happen with many drugs, insect bites, etc. It kills fast and leaves few signs. If you've ever heard of someone dying from a wasp or bee sting, anaphylactic shock is what caused the death. When I was in Veterinary school at Texas A&M University, a friend was nipped by a horse. The professors decided it was bad enough he needed a tetanus shot so they sent him to the hospital. As a precaution, a highly diluted sample of the tetanus serum was included with the tetnus concentrate so the person to get the full injection could be tested for allergy to horse serum which was the carrier. They gave Bob a small dose of the highly diluted serum before giving the actual shot, and he died of an anaphylactic reaction. Anaphylaxis is a fairly common reaction: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaphylaxis
