Default Longboat Key/Sarasota Bay next week??

Hi, I am going to be in Longboat Key with my family next week. We have a boat good for the gulf or bay and was hoping to get some fishing info/tips. Last year we stayed in the bay and managed to find a bunch of Ladyfish, Trout, a Bluefish, and some Catfish. Most were small but fun to catch. This year I was hoping to find somethign a little more sporty like a Tarpon, Redfish, or Grouper.

Any ideas or advice or reports? I figured I would drift the passes with some pinfish or other small baitfish and maybe troll the outside out toward some reefs.

Thanks. Andy

Anchor out off the bridges and watch for rolling tarpon...
Fish very late (even at night) and very early. Sabiki rigs for pilchard around bridge pilings. Good luck.

Thanks. I had seen that video before. I though they were using really light gear for tarpon. Good to see it was up to the task (other than the break-off).
