There's finally a GOOD IK out there for fishermen--the NRS Pike.
http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=16363 I first got a look at it last summer at ICAST and was pretty quickly impressed. I finally got one this last winter. The NRS Pike is awesome. It's strong, you're not going to be going around poking holes in it. It's built on 2000 denier, 1.2mm thick PVC. NRS has installed three Scotty mounts on the kayak and NRS also offers additional glue-on Scotty mounts if you want them. I've built a couple different anchor systems (river pulley and traditional anchor trolley), and rigged it up for my fish finder too if you need something that fits in a closet or trunk of a car, this is the only IK i could recommend ![]() ![]() I DO wish the seat was a bit taller. You're pretty much sitting on the floor with the standard seat. Just a couple inches will make a marked improvement. My Pike doesn't have foot braces, but new models do!
